InsideOut Leading Success Stories

take you to next levels of ability and growth
One of my biggest personal challenges as a leader is sourcing and sustaining the confidence to stand up for what I believe and speak up for what is right. I engaged in InsideOut - for myself and two farm managers on team - because of the philosophy ‘before we lead others, first we need to lead ourselves’.
During the InsideOut time my confidence grew exponentially. I learned to trust my gut instinct. Sounds small and yet can be one of the hardest things to do. It’s been crucial moving forward taking my leadership to new heights. In the past I’ve also procrastinated. Now I’m making faster decisions, confident that I’m on the button, which gives more time to focus on the next task at hand. My health has improved since doing the programme. Prior I would have experienced ‘feeling down’ on average twice per month. Since InsideOut, not one.
I’d recommend this to anyone. The breadth of programme ensures something for everyone. If you are leading a team or looking for personal development this will take you to the next level of ability and growth. Corene has a natural style that puts all participants quickly at ease. Her follow-up during and after the programme ensures the course material is fully understood and easily put into action every day.

Learn about people and lift your confidence
Earlier the biggest challenges for us were believing in ourselves and our values enough to be confident. We had been looking for a course around Leadership to help bring fun back into people management.
Enter InsideOut Leading. What we learned was to be a good leader that first comes from within!! Lead and love yourself first!!!!
We’re no longer assuming what people are feeling. We’re taking time now, setting personal boundaries, and understanding and respecting each other so much more. During the InsideOut programme it was great to stay on topics longer if we needed but not too long. Everything has been useable and, of course, discipline has been key to giving us more confidence.
Enjoyable and relevant
All the work required from this programme is internal and excellent. The strategies that have been useful, enjoyable and relevant.
I’ve been monitoring power language, boundaries, identifying TetraMap natures and gratitude moments each day. With enough information to build my own strategy plans, I’m placing more conscious effort on my communication and interactions.
There were many highlights from the days including gratitude – absolutely beautiful and inspiring.
Absolutely fantastic, will use it a lot from here
I facilitate on-farm training and supporting other training advisors in their roles. A big workload requires prioritising effectively and keeping work life balance. It’s a job of giving constant feedback and support. I decided to do InsideOut Leading because knew I was lacking the tools, skills and knowledge to move forward as a successful leader.
On the other side of InsideOut, I’m more connected with my vision, mission and purpose. It’s been a big help to know how to bring draining energy and behaviour back above the line. A huge light bulb moment for me was when I realised to be successful and valued as a leader, I needed to work on my self-awareness and be conscious. I am in the spotlight. How I am perceived is very important and reflects who I am.
InsideOut has helped me to manage the different personalities and lead with confidence in a positive effective manner. I deal with difficult situations with confidence and determine what type of leadership conversation is needed to be effective. I believe in myself more especially making leadership decisions. Good to recognise the gaps and build on them moving forward with all this knowledge and increased confidence.

Opened doors we never dreamed possible
What we were shown has been life changing, both as an individual and as a couple. We have learned to connect with ourselves through understanding us better and understanding our personal drivers.
We now have tools to self lead and as a result greater values-based opportunities have opened up. The flow-on effect to our family has been heart warming to see as we lead the way taking full ownership of how we live in this moment and excited about the future that rolls out from here.
The journey of self-discovery has been life changing and life saving. It has given me a life worth living and a life with greater purpose. I cannot thank Corene enough as doors have opened up in our lives we never dreamed possible.

So many gold moments and breakthroughs
We are a rural town primary school with a diverse community. The challenges I face as a leader is to keep us all moving forward in the same direction; and to keep people looking at the positive, the bigger picture, and each other’s strengths - especially with a large group of women! It transpired the InsideOut Leading programme was better value for money than the one day course I wanted to take.
What was even more attractive was knowing - from earlier personal development experiences - that new learning over a period of time has a more lasting effect. There were so many gold moments and breakthroughs. Firstly, taking greater control over the quality of my energy and how that radiates and influences others. Simple and makes a difference. It’s also been eye-opening to put self-care into the mix more. And to know that I have skills and a leadership package that can be useful in other areas. This programme has given me a better understanding of ME and what I can do to literally keep easy momentum effortlessly.
It has also provided a platform to take new ideas to staff, communicate and engage with them in a new way. Recommend this to all leaders who are forward thinking-focused and want to be clearly understood. You gain such an insight into your strengths and how you can use these to empower people around you.
Aria School, King Country
It is important that you are in a positive frame of mind.
I am a second year beginning teacher in a small country school (Aria) in the King Country. Leadership at school mainly involves leading my classroom (students) however, with a small staff; we each take on wider school responsibilities. As I gain confidence in my profession, I hope to be given greater leadership opportunities.
I heard about the Inside-Out Leadership course through my Dad, who values the importance of leadership. At first, I was not sure if I was worthy to take this course as I am young and am not managing adults. After reading the website, peoples stories and getting in touch with Corene, I realised that this course would benefit me and provide strategies for my future.
There have been a number of ‘breakthroughs’ for me:
- Understanding when you are above or below the line. This makes me reflect on the people around me and my own behaviour. I often catch myself out when I am below the line. I then think and turn my behaviour around so that I am above the line.
- Creating boundaries for myself. I did not realise the importance of having boundaries which allows me to control what I do and not tolerate. Having recognised boundaries has helped me to raise my level of self-worth.
This programme has given me confidence in myself and has helped to raise my self-worth. It has given me strength in a number of ways, which I am grateful for. I now know the difference between an inspiring leader and a leader who is below the line. In the future I would really like to lead a group of people and use the skills I have learned from Inside-Out. I hope to become a great leader!
I would recommend this programme to any person who enjoys learning new skills and wants to better themselves. I have learned that you do not have to already be leading a group of people for example, you are a leader of yourself. It is important that you are in a positive frame of mind which will lead you to success.
